For many families, it’s not a proper Thanksgiving until the whole gang gathers ’round a football game on TV. The big question of the day is this: Which game to watch? Luckily for you, we’re here to sort it all out. So put on those stretchy pants and resist that post-turkey nap as long as you can, because it’s time for some football.
Panthers vs Cowboys
Dallas fans will be looking for a positive note in an otherwise disappointing season after coming just a catch away from the NFC Championship game last season. The Cowboys have had a rough season, but there’s no doubt their fans will be cheering on the boys in blue during the big game on Thanksgiving Day. Jason Garrett’s Cowboys take on Ron Rivera’s Panthers at 3:30 PM CT on Fox.
Eagles vs Lions
While Chip Kelly is no doubt waiting on DeMarco Murray to be the player he was for Dallas last year, the Eagles have managed to stay at or around .500 this season. Things look even more promising in week 12, as Philly has taken home two of the last three Thanksgiving Day victories when facing the Lions. This year, the Lions might find themselves hoping for some kind of Thanksgiving miracle when they face Eagles at home at 11:30 AM CT on Fox.
Bears vs Packers
There are few rivalries more classic than the one between Chicago and Green Bay. Even you don’t have a particular loyalty to either team, the Packers always seem to be part of the best Thanksgiving Day game, so tune in to NBC at 7:30 PM CT for some classic American football.
Texas vs Texas Tech
Texas is dealing with a hot-and-cold season, complete with a Red River victory over OU and an embarrassing loss to Iowa State. But the Longhorns aren’t the only ones looking to improve on Thanksgiving Day. Both Texas and Texas Tech will be looking to secure a bowl game and hopefully move up in the Big 12 standings. Watch the Longhorns take on the Red Raiders from DKR Memorial Stadium at 6:30 PM CT on Fox Sports 1.
