The Two Potato Gratin recipe from the SampleHouse Cookbook goes well served with any meat.
- 1 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 c. grated cheddar cheese
- 2 lbs. baking potatoes
- 2 lbs. sweet potatoes
- 1 sm. onion, sliced
- 2 c. half-and-half
- Salt & pepper
Combine cheeses. Peel sweet potatoes. Wash baking potatoes. Use food processor to slice potatoes. Spray Pam on casserole and put a little half-and-half in the bottom. Layer ingredients in the following order: baking potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, salt and pepper, half-and-half and cheese. Repeat. Cover and bake for 35 minutes at 350°. Uncover and bake until cheese begins to brown, about 25 minutes.
