Winston here. I just found my computer under a big pile of new toys, so I thought I’d check in and see how everyone’s holidays went. I had a great time! New toys, new bed, and my awesome people even got me a fancy new collar. I feel like a million biscuits! And because everyone put so much thought into making the holidays so special for me and my family, I thought it would be nice if I took some time to write a few thank you notes today. Even if you don’t have thumbs (like me), writing thank you notes is a quick and simple gesture to make sure everyone you love knows how appreciative and happy you are that they were part of your holiday season.
Now that the New Year is upon us, it’s important to begin this year they way you ended the last one, with gratitude and unconditional love. That’s an easy task for me, because I’m a dog; it’s just built right in to my big, sweet doggie heart. But even I, a handsome dog, get caught up in all my new things with new squeakers, as well as my long to-do lists (I have to take THREE naps today!), and I can forget to take care of other, more important priorities. I want to make sure all the super important people in my life know exactly how grateful I am for their gifts, for coming to visit me, and for thinking of me during the busiest time of the year. What kinds of things do you all put in your thank you notes? I always like to make sure I make it as personal as possible by putting my person’s name and mentioning the nice gift they brought me. I also saw a lot of people over the holidays who didn’t bring gifts, but were nice enough to come visit me and give me a hug. I love hugs just as much as any toy, so I’m going to make sure they know that I really appreciate them just thinking of me!
Who wouldn’t get the tickles from getting a sweet note full of love?! I would. I love getting tickles.
I was running around here at SampleHouse a few days ago and I picked up a few sets of stationary because I knew I wanted to write these thank you notes on the prettiest, most unique cards around. I may need help holding a pen, but I know what catches the eye, and our huge selection has so many beautiful prints to choose from! We even have a pretty pens to go with your new stationary! I love it when things match.
Even though I’m a little sad that the holidays are over, writing thank you notes is my favorite way to remember all the fun and reflect on how loved I am. That always pulls me out of the post-holiday blues and gets my tail wagging and ready for a new year full of even more fun, friends, and family.
Paws and Kisses,
