Celebrate spring’s arrival with this fresh recipe for moist strawberry cake from the SampleHouse Cookbook!
- 1 white cake mix
- 1/2 c. water
- 3/4 c. oil
- 10 oz. frozen strawberries, thawed
- 4 eggs
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- 1 stick butter
Add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup strawberries to cake mix. Mix until blended. Add oil. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Beat well. Pour into greased and floured pans. Bake at 350° until springs back when slightly touched. Cool.
For frosting, mix powdered sugar, butter and remaining strawberries until well blended. Top your cake with fresh strawberry slices for a delicious springtime treat!
