Wedding season is officially here — and it’s here to stay for the next several months. If you have a few invitations stuck to the fridge, chances are you’ll need the perfect gift, which happens to be our specialty. Here are our favorite gift ideas for all three major wedding events, including the big day.
Today’s engagement parties range from casual backyard barbecues to swanky downtown soirees. The good news is that your gift doesn’t necessarily have to match the party; just celebrate the couple and their future. Have fun with this one — we especially love the idea of celebratory cocktail gifts. Wine flutes or themed corks, mixing sets and engagement-themed ice buckets are all perfectly fun and appropriate ideas. Things that the couple can use or do together are also great for an engagement party —cookbooks, gift cards, kitchen gadgets and garden tools set the tone for a lifetime of teamwork!
For many couples, the weeks following the wedding mark the first time they cook for two — and hopefully take turns! Cookbooks that focus on particular styles, dishes and skill levels are a great way to help the couple build a sold inventory of go-to recipes. Serving platters, monogrammed plates for display, tiered serving dishes, cheese boards, cake stands and anything that makes hosting a breeze are great ideas as well. The bride will also be in the thick of wedding planning at this point, so pamper her with bath bombs, a Trapp candle or any one of our luxurious bath and body products. After all, a relaxed bride is a happy bride.
Sometimes you’d like to add a little something extra to that blender you bought from the happy couple’s registry. Our personal favorite is this little ring dish! Have the couple place it next to the sink to keep their rings safe from falling down the drain or getting dingy while washing hands. If the couple has pets, consider giving a monogrammed blanket or collar with the pet’s new last name. Small gifts like this ensure you won’t arrive at the wedding empty-handed, but won’t break the bank if you’ve already gifted something significant at the engagement party or shower.
