There plenty of reasons to take pictures this month, including graduations, Mother’s Day, weddings and plenty of end-of-school celebrations. This year, try taking your celebratory photos in front of one of the bright, photogenic walls that are such a hit on social media.
Here are just a few of the gorgeous walls in Dallas that would make a stunning backdrop for a family photoshoot.
Dallas Design District: “We believe in Dallas”
This red, white and blue wall in the Dallas Design District is an excellent photo spot. Perfect for new high school graduates or even an impromptu afternoon post-tacos photoshoot, this eye-catching wall was practically made for Instagram.
So break out your stars and stripes, because you won’t want to miss the bright colors and Dallas pride of one of our favorite walls in the city.
Uptown: The RewardStyle Wall
Dotted with hearts of every color against a bright white wall, the RewardStyle wall in Uptown is simply lovely. Located on the east wall of The Standard Pour (check out that brunch menu, while you’re there), the RewardStyle wall is the perfect spot for taking pictures with your mom this Mother’s Day. Grab a camera and then grab a bite, because this wall is not to be missed.
Deep Ellum: Emporium Pies
With pies such as the Cloud Nine — a butterscotch custard, brown sugar meringue, house-made caramel situation — and the Blue Steel — a totally made-from-scratch blueberry pie — there are plenty of reasons to visit any Emporium Pies location. But their Deep Ellum spot is especially notable for its gorgeous floral wall — perfect for a cute photo op. While you’re at it, pop next door for some of the best barbecue in this great state at Pecan Lodge. Brisket and pie? How Dallas of you.
Bishop Arts: Dallas Strong House
Made bright and beautiful with more than 70 cans of spray paint, the Dallas Strong house was created last summer by Denton-based artist Eric Mancini, who turned a formerly drab abode into a favorite spot for many Dallasites and their cameras.
Thanks to Mancini, the Dallas Strong House now hosts a colorful “controlled chaos” of bright squiggles and the words “Dallas Strong” in bold block letters. We love this location for graduation photos featuring proud Dallas grads.
