Pranks aren’t limited to just one day! Before the summer hijinks begin, warm up your pranking muscles with a few solid April Fool’s pranks that can be used all month long. Whether you’re a seasoned joker with a brain for elaborate japes or a newbie who still giggles at the idea of plastic wrap on the toilet seat, we have a few suggestions for ways to really get ’em good this year.
1. Toothpaste Oreos
That perfectly white, creamy center is fair game for a whole host of hoaxes, but nothing is quite a cringeworthy as the toothpaste prank. The process is simple enough—scrape out the cream center of an Oreo’s cream center replace it with a nice big dollop of plain white toothpaste. Then offer the cookie to a friend. Expect some spitting and a prolonged fear of desserts as a result.
2. Mayo Doughnut Speaking of messing with your food, messing with breakfast is sure to elicit a whole new level of hilarity—or rage. But hopefully you’ll pick a morning person as the target for this one. Fill up a pastry bag with some good ol’ mayonnaise, poke a hole in a Bavarian cream doughnut and top it off. Instead a heavenly bite of sweet cream, surprise! Mayo—and probably some more spitting. SampleHouse Tips
3. Head in a Jar
Channel your inner B-movie star and put your head in a jar for this amazing fridge prank that delivers all day. But please don’t actually put your head in a jar. Instead, print out a life-size picture of your noggin, laminate it and place inside a jar along its natural curve. Fill with water, add a few drops of soy sauce for a creepy brown color and wait. Take it up a notch with a hidden video camera and laugh about this one all year.
4. Airhorn Door This one is brilliantly simple. Make everyone who walks through the door jump with just some duct tape, any door handle and a strategically placed air horn. SampleHouse Tips
5. The Post-It Mobile
It’s kind of hard to explain why covering someone’s car in Post-it notes is so funny—it just is. This isn’t the most environmentally friendly prank in the world, so clear your calendar to clean up the aftermath and recycle or re-use those stickies! Just check the weather first, because the Post-It prank and a rainy day are a terrible combo.
